Kuvera interviews Professor Ajit Yoganathan

Professor Ajit Yoganathan is an award winning biomedical engineer whose primary interest has been in the design and testing of cardiac valves. He is credited by his peers of having invented the science of “Cardiac flow mechanics” in his laboratory. All cardiac valves in current use have been tested in his CFM laboratory at the Georgia Institute of Technology where his is currently Professor Emeritus. He has also developed methods for facilitating complex paediatric cardiac surgery with colleagues. In addition, he is the son of our beloved Professor of Pathology, Professor Mrs. Yoganathan.
